On July 14, 2025, the city of Suwayda was shaken by a horrific and unprovoked assault launched by the Syrian regime’s forces, supported by extremist Bedouin militias carrying ISIS insignias. This coordinated attack deliberately targeted
innocent civilians—primarily members of the Druze ethnic minority and Christian residents—resulting in a massacre of unimaginable scale. Over 1,300 lives were lost, including women, children, the elderly, and even
two American citizens from Oklahoma. Many more remain missing, kidnapped, or silenced.
The Sweida Massacre Archive (S.M.A) was founded by survivors, witnesses, and concerned citizens in response to this atrocity. Our mission is to document every testimony, name, photo, and piece of evidence related to
the massacre and its aftermath. This is more than a website—it is a living memorial, a digital archive, and a call for justice.
